Some people in Rhode Island appear willing to consider a casino bid to Donald Trump in addition to the Narragansett Tribe.
At least one top lawmaker says the casino bidding process could be opened to Trump.
But others, mainly supporters of the tribe, say Trump's proposal is coming too late in the process.
The tribe wants to amend the state constitution to allow a casino in partnership with Harrah's Entertainment. The tribe barred, by a rider, from engaging in gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
