Passamaquoddy Tribe turns in 61,000 signatures

The Passamaquoddy Tribe of Maine turned in 61,000 signatures to the state on Monday in hopes of putting a gaming question on the November ballot.

The tribe wants to open a racetrack and slot machine facility in Washington County. A similar facility opened last year after being approved by state voters, who also rejected a ballot proposal for a tribal casino.
