The state of Connecticut filed suit against the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, charging that a slot machine promotion violates the tribal-state compact.
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal claims the tribe has to share 25 percent of revenues from the coupons. He filed suit in state court.
The tribe mails coupons, worth between $5 and $100, to prospective gamblers. The coupons can be used for play at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.
