The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan hired a new chief executive officer at its Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.
Andy Asselin used to run the casino for the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians in California. He also has experience in the Nevada casino industry.
At Soaring Eagle, Asselin plans to look at the entire gaming and hospitality operations. Casino revenue has fallen off in recent years, forcing the tribe to make some cuts.
