A citizens' group in Washington has dropped its lawsuit against the Nooksack Tribe's new casino.
The North County Community Alliance sued the Interior Department and the National Indian Gaming Commission, saying the agencies failed to determine whether the casino would comply with federal law. The tribe is building the Northwood Crossing Casino on trust land.
The group says it will wait until the Environmental Protection Agency issues a report on the project. The EPA visited the casino site in response to local complaints.
