The Oneida Nation's casino in Verona, New York, brings in more than $300 million in revenues a year, according to a report prepared for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The bulk of the revenues at Turning Stone Resort and Casino came from gaming. The tribe also operates a hotel and entertainment venue there.
The land where the casino is situated is not held in trust. The BIA is considering the tribe's application to acquire more than 17,000 acres in two counties. The draft environmental impact statement [Link] was released last Friday.
