The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians plans to expand its casino and rebuild its hotel in downtown Palm Springs, California.
The tribe will add 60,000 square feet to the Spa Casino. The Spa Resort Casino Hotel, located a block away, will be torn down and rebuilt nearly twice as large.
The tribe won't begin work on the project until it consults local officials and takes public comment. The land in Palm Springs is held in trust but the tribe says it will work with the city.
