A California man who sued the Jackson Rancheria after his image was used in a casino ad lost his case before a jury.
Sam Awanis said he had no idea he was being filmed when he went to the Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel. He said his privacy was invaded and that he was ostracized from the Assyrian community.
The jury didn't buy the claims. The casino posted a sign that states patrons consent to their image being used in promotional materials, and also made an announcement that patrons were being filmed.
