An anti-gaming group in Michigan says it won't stop trying to prevent the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians from opening a casino.
Citizens Exposing Truth About Casinos filed a new lawsuit on Thursday. The suit claims the tribe can't use 79 acres of an initial reservation for a casino.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs has agreed to take the land into trust. The tribe qualifies for the newly recognized exception in Section 20 of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
