Thousands of people flocked to the Foxwoods Resort Casino, operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, to trade gambling points for gas cards.
Patrons waited in line for hours at the casino. But with gas prices averaging $3.23 a gallon, they said it was worth it.
The casino is giving Exxon and Mobil gas cards for every dollar on a gambler's "Wampum" card.
