A ceremony being conducted by the Nooksack Tribe of Washington was temporarily interrupted by anti-casino protesters.
Tribal members gathered at the site of their future casino on Monday morning. North County Community Alliance, a group opposed to the casino, thought it was a groundbreaking so they tried to stop it.
The formal groundbreaking won't take place until later this month.
