Opponents of an off-reservation casino in North Dakota say they have collected more than 2,000 signatures on a petition against the project
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa is seeking state and federal approval to build a casino in the Grand Forks area. The idea is opposed by other tribes in the state.
The petition organizers hope to collect 4,000 signatures and present it to the city council to show that the local community doesn't support the casino.
