The president and chief executive officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts presented gaming mogul Donald Trump's casino proposal to leaders in Johnston, Rhode Island.
Trump says the casino will include a hotel, restaurants and other amenities and will create 3,000 jobs in Johnston, located a few miles outside of Providence. The location was chosen because it is only one hour south of Boston
The plan rivals the Narrangansett Tribe's long-standing proposal for a casino. The tribe is seeking to amend the state constitution to allow gaming in the town of West Warwick.
