David Barnett, a member of the Cowlitz Tribe of Washington who is the public face of the tribe's casino push, and his wife have made $200,000 in campaign contributions since 2003, according to The Oregonian.
Barnett, the son of Cowlitz Chairman John Barnett, says he has given equal amounts to Republicans and Democrats. Some of the recipients include Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Washington), the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign.
The donations also include $100,000 to Progressive Majority [Web Site], a political action committee.
