The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina plan a $254 million expansion of the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel.
The tribe will double the size of the casino's showroom and add a third hotel tower, a spa and parking garage. The expansion would nearly double the 1,770 employees to more than 3,000, a Harrah's executive said.
Meanwhile, the tribe is negotiating to expand the Class III games offered at the casino.
