The Comanche Nation of Oklahoma is distributing the first-ever per capita payments from the tribe's gaming enterprise.
Each of the more than 8,000 adult tribal members will receive an annual check for $1,035.58. Juveniles will have their share placed in a trust fund until they turn 18.
The total amount being distributed is $14 million, which represents 40 percent of gaming profits.
