TV station's poll shows support for gaming in Kansas

Voters in three Kansas counties overwhelmingly support a casino, according to a new poll from KWCH 12 television.

In Harvey County, 58 percent said they want a casino and in Marion County, 55 percent supported it. Support was strongest in Sumner County, where 67 percent said they want a casino.

The state is home to four on-reservation casinos. But several tribes, including one without a casino, have sought to build off-reservation casinos. State lawmakers, however, have not warmed to the idea.
