California tribe's casino remains shuttered

The casino owned by the Big Sandy Band of Western Mono Indians remains closed in a dispute with a former general manager.

The tribe has been ordered to pay $700,000 to former manager Michael Troilo. When the tribe didn't pay up, the Fresno County Sheriff's Department raided the casino on August 24 to demand payment.

The tribe forked over $175,000 and closed the casino. But if the casino reopens, the tribe will have to pay the rest of the money, a judge ruled.
