Decision on tribe's Internet promotion delayed

A decision on the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation's Internet gaming promotion will be issued today, The Norwich Bulletin reports.

The Connecticut Division of Special Revenue was supposed to announce its decision yesterday but delayed it, the paper said. No reason was given.

The tribe launched the "PlayAway" game to allow players to buy a ticket at the casino and check online to determine if they won. State attorney general Richard Blumenthal contends the game is illegal under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
