Osage Nation to break ground on $8M casino

The Osage Nation of Oklahoma will break ground on an $8 million casino in July.

The 25,000-square-foot Million Dollar Elm Casino will be located in Bartlesville. The tribe has a casino with the same name in Sand Springs.

The new Million Dollar Elm is expected to open in the spring of 2006. It will employ more than 200 people.

Tribal casinos in Oklahoma generated nearly $1 billion in revenues last year, according to the new Indian Gaming Industry Report.
