The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma is seeing more opposition to its proposed off-reservation casino.
Local officials and county lawmakers say the casino is a bad idea for the Saugerties, located near the Catskills, where the tribe originally sought a casino.
An opposition group, No Saugerties Casino, has formed and held a a public form that reportedly drew 250 people.
Ulster County lawmakers are considering a resolution that would bar the county from negotiating casino deals without the approval of the host community. The vote has been delayed until next week.
