The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut announced on Thursday its partnership with another tribe for an off-reservation casino in Kansas.
The Mashantuckets own the world's biggest casino. They will be using their success to help the Iowa Tribe open a casino outside of Wichita, Kansas.
The Iowa Tribe already operates a casino on its reservation on the Kansas-Nebraska state line. The tribe is proposing a $270 million resort with 2,500 slot machines.
Former Wichita mayor Bob Knight is representing the tribe in its casino bid.
