Ohio summit on gaming includes Oklahoma tribe

Efforts by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma to open casinos in Ohio will be considered at the Ohio General Assembly's first statewide summit on gaming.

The tribe is eyeing up to nine sites across the state for off-reservation casinos. Some land deals and agreements with municipalities have already been secured.

The tribe's efforts will be considered along with other proposals to expand gaming in the state. The issue may be put to voters in November.
