Groups still willing to talk with tribe over urban casino

Charitable groups in Grand Forks, North Dakota, say they are still willing to talk with the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians over a proposed urban casino.

Six groups told the city council that their charitable gaming operations would be hurt if the casino is approved. But they said they weren't outright opposed to the casino and would consider offers from the tribe.

Greater opposition to the plan is coming from other tribes in the state who say their business will be hurt by an urban casino.
