Native women in charge of Arizona gaming group

Native women are in the top leadership positions at the Arizona Indian Gaming Association.

Bernadine Boyd, vice president of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, was recently elected as vice chairwoman of the organization. Herminia Frias, chairwoman of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, was elected secretary.

They join Delia Carlyle, vice chairwoman of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, as AIGA chairwoman and Nora McDowell, chairwoman of the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe, as the treasurer. The executive director is Sheila Morago.
