The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on Thursday in the Wyandotte Nation's gaming case.
The tribe is based in Oklahoma but has trust land in downtown Kansas City, Kansas. The tribe opened a Class II facility on that land.
The state contended the casino was illegal and shut it down even though the land is held in trust. The tribe is in court to get the facility reopened.
