Three elders of the Stoney First Nation in Alberta are protesting their tribe's $27 million casino.
The three women, ages 68 to 77, are blocking the road on the reserve. They say the casino will lead to more addictions. Elder Eliza Holloway also says the casino site is on her land.
A lawyer for the First Nation says the tribe will turn to the RCMP to stop the blockade. The lawyer said two referendums indicate broad support on the reserve for the project.
