The Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe says there is little progress to report on negotiations for a new gaming compact with the state of South Dakota.
The tribe wants a new compact to operate 500 slot machines. The current compact limits the number of machines to 250.
The tribe says more slot machines are needed as part of a $17 million expansion. The tribe opened a 92-room hotel at its casino and wants to increase the size of the casino.
