The Oneida Nation of New York says it will ask the state's highest court to hear its tribal gaming compact lawsuit.
The tribe signed a Class III gaming compact in the 1990s. But it was thrown out because the state legislature didn't authorize it, a lower court ruled.
The compact was challenged by Upstate Citizens for Equality, a group oppose to the Oneida land claim and tribal sovereignty.
