Mohegans promote partnership with Washington tribe

The chairman of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut went to Washington on Thursday to promote his tribe's partnership with the Cowlitz Tribe.

Mohegan Chairman Mark Brown said his tribe's casino has been a success. He urged local residents to contact officials in southeastern Connecticut to find out about the tribe's relationship with local governments.

The Cowlitz Tribe is seeking approval for a 152-acre initial reservation. A casino and other development would be located on the land.
