The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is planning an expansion of its casino in Rancho Mirage.
In phase one of the project, the tribe plans to add more gaming space, a hotel with as many as 400 rooms, a showroom and other amenities.
Phase two calls for a 350,000-square-foot retail center near the casino.
Construction on phase one could begin as early as January 2006, with completion expected by November 2006.
