Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported their best month ever for slot machine revenues.
Together, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe saw a 3 percent increase in slot revenues for the month of July 2005. Close to $2 billion was gambled, according to news reports.
The tribes sent $40 million to the state. Gaming compacts require the tribes to share 25 percent of slot machine revenues.
