The Campo Band of Kumeyaay Indians is facing a state investigation for the waste disposal system at its casino.
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) plans to inspect the casino's sewage treatment plant in response to allegations of unsafe working conditions and high levels of coliform bacteria in the water system. The tribe's compact requires the casino to meet state and federal water standards.
The tribe said it has taken steps to address the problem.
