California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) has slashed $20 million in gaming revenues intended for local communities.
Gaming tribes contribute revenues to the state to help local communities and non-gaming tribes.
But, in this year's budget, Schwarzenegger reduced the amount several counties receive from $50 million to $30 million.
Two lawmakers hope to recover the funds due to Riverside County ($8.5 million),
San Bernardino County ($1.2 million) and other counties.
