The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma is running into more opposition to its proposal for an off-reservation casino near the site of the 1994 Woodstock concert.
The Saugerties Town Board voted unanimously against the casino on Wednesday night. The proposed site is in Saugerties. The nearby Gardiner Town Board also voted unanimously against the casino.
The tribe is still seeking a casino in the Catskills but the deal is on hold due to the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on ancestral lands.
