The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin is considering moving its urban casino to downtown Milwaukee.
The off-reservation casino is currently located slightly outside the city. But Jeff Crawford, the tribe's attorney general, told The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that two locations in the heart of downtown have been looked at, although he said getting state and federal approval for the relocation would be very difficult.
The tribe's $240 million expansion of the casino is on hold pending resolution of a legal dispute over compacts signed with Gov. Jim Doyle (D).
