"Wanted: New casino partner for the Bay State's only recognized Indian nation.
The Wampanoag Tribe of Martha's Vineyard seeks a deep-pocketed gambling industry partner. Must be willing to spend millions on a highly uncertain quest to win approval for a casino resort from a prickly Massachusetts Legislature.
Expenses are nonrefundable. Willingness to generously share profits with tribal leaders, if casino plan succeeds, is considered a big plus.
It is unlikely the star-crossed Vineyard tribe is so blunt - and honest - in its latest attempt to find a gambling industry partner.
But the Wampanoags appear to be on the prowl again."
