The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma is considering an alternate site for its off-reservation casino in New York.
The tribe reached a settlement with Gov. George Pataki (R) to open a casino in the Catskills, 90 minutes north of New York City. But tribal leaders are in talks for a casino at the farm used for the 1994 Woodstock festival.
The change in plans could mean a break with Empire Resorts, the gaming company that would manage the Catskills casino. The tribe is talking with mall developer Thomas Wilmot for the new site.
