A recent poll found that 62 percent of Kansans support a tribal-state compact for an urban casino.
The Sac and Fox Nation and the Kickapoo Tribe signed the compact with Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. The tribes want to share revenues from a casino in the Kansas City area.
State lawmakers haven't approved the compact but it is one of several gaming proposals up for debate again. A Senate committee has approved the "Slots for Tots" bill to allow casinos in six counties and slot machines at racetracks.
