The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska announced a new gaming compact with the state of Iowa on Monday.
The tribe operates a casino on trust land in Iowa. The new agreement will cover gaming there until the end of 2012.
A new condition of the compact requires the tribe to raise the gambling age at the facility to 21. The tribe had lowered it to 18 in response to competition from riverboat casinos. The tribe is also required to donate a minimum of $200,000 to charities every year and to pay the state $40,000 every year for regulation.
The Winnebago Tribe's economic development corporation, Ho-Chunk Inc., owns Indianz.Com
