California has only conduted one casino audit

The California Gambling Control Commission has only conducted one audit to ensure that gaming tribes are accurately reporting their payments to the state, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The tribal-state compact requires tribes to share a portion of slot machine revenues with the state. The money goes to local communities and to tribes without gaming and those without large-scale gaming operations.

Since tribe began making quarterly payments to the Special Distribution Fund, only one audit has been completed. A commission said the audits take time.
