The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe has launched a group called Citizens Seeking Honest Answers to oppose the Menominee Nation's proposal for an off-reservation casino.
The Potawatomis operate the only casino in the Milwaukee area. Another one would threaten the $250 million in annual revenues, said the tribe's attorney general.
Menominee chairwoman Joan Delabreau said the Potawatomis are trying to "keep all of the benefits [of a casino] for themselves." The tribe says its casino will create more than 3,000 jobs and generate $500 million in revenues.
