Off-reservation casino in New Mexico criticized

Opponents of an off-reservation casino in New Mexico say it would cost up to $1.7 million a year in lost taxes and create few jobs.

Jemez Pueblo has partnered with an art dealer to buy land in southern New Mexico. They say the casino will create 1,000 jobs and pump $30 million into the local economy annually.

Opponents counter that the casino will drain revenue from local businesses, resulting in a loss of taxes and little jobs.
