Nambe Pueblo approves referendum for casino

Members of Nambe Pueblo in New Mexico voted 109-74 on Saturday to approve plans for a casino.

The tribe would be the 14th in the state to enter the gaming business. The tribe already has a compact to share up to 8 percent of slot machine revenues with the state.

The casino would be located on the tribe's land north of Santa Fe. It would be closest to Pojoaque Pueblo's casino.
