Oklahoma gaming nearly doubles in two years

Revenues at tribal casinos in Oklahoma nearly doubled in two years, according to a study by the Analysis Group.

Revenues at 73 facilities were $465.9 million in 2003, the study estimated. This was up from $245.7 million in 2001.

Oklahoma has more tribal gaming facilities and more Class II machines than any other state. According to the report, tribes are operating 20,523 electronic machines.

Despite the high number, Florida is a bigger Class II market even though there are fewer tribes in the state with fewer electronic machines.
