Clergy oppose Seneca-Cayuga casino in New York

Representatives of Catholic, Baptist, Jewish and Islamic faiths held a press conference in Rochester, New York, on Thursday to oppose a possible tribal casino.

The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma is looking at opening a $500 million casino in downtown Rochester. The casino would be part of a settlement with the state for a land claim.

But religious leaders said a casino would only prey on the poor and weak.
