Gaming funds distributed to California communities

Communities in Riverside County, California, received $10.3 million in gaming revenues on Monday.

The money comes from a special distribution fund set up by tribal-state compacts that were signed in 1999. It pays for for police and fire services, road improvements and emergency medical services.

Riverside County received 46 percent of the $10.3 million while communities in the county received 54 percent.
