Wisconsin governor and tribes meet over compacts

Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle (D) is meet with tribal leaders for the first time since the state Supreme Court struck down new gaming compacts.

Today, he is meeting with 11 tribes whose casinos generate the most revenue. Yesterday, he met with five other tribes to start negotiations for a new agreement.

Doyle is also expected to veto a bill giving the Legislature final say over future compacts. Republicans say they can get a better deal out of the tribes.
