Coushatta Tribe's top gaming exec steps down

The former chief executive officer of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana's gaming management company says his departure has nothing to do with the tribe's current controversies.

Aubrey T. Temple Jr. was terminated last Wednesday after three years on the job. The departure was amicable but Temple told The Lake Charles American Press that he became a "lightning rod" within the tribe. Tribal members have questioned the spending habits of two tribal leaders who reportedly used $32 million in casino and other funds for lobbying and public relations work.
