Tribe's casino ad urged people in debt to gamble

A New Mexico tribe was running a television ad that urged people swamped with "huge bills" to gamble, The Albuquerque Journal reports.

Isleta Pueblo ran the 30-second spot to promote a casino contest. But the head of the New Mexico Coalition Against Gambling said it encourages "reckless gaming." The ad said the casino could "rescue" those in debt.

The ad was pulled from local television stations.
